The JEPAA is an art organization that contributes to the exchange of art and the development of long-lasting friendships.
We are an art organization that promotes the exchange of art between European countries and Japan with a side focus on other countries as well. Through art, we strive to create a cross-national exchange by inviting artists from various ethnicities to our exhibitions, allowing these artists and our visitors to create a dialogue about each other’s cultures and creative activities.

EXHIBITION WITH ARTWORKS FROM JAPAN AND MALTA
The JAPAN ART FESTIVAL 2023 in Malta invites visitors to encounter traditional and contemporary artworks by artists from both countries.
A total of 226 artists from all over Japan present 335 works from different disciplines: calligraphy, photography, oil-, acrylic-, monochrome ink-, watercolour- and nihonga- paintings, haiku and tanka poetry, sculptures and much more. The exhibition combines various subjects and thus reflects the diverse artistic life of Japan.
A highlight of the exhibition are 30 carefully chosen works of Maltese artists, including paintings and photography.
Despite their different cultural backgrounds, all artists share a passion and joy for art. Undoubtedly, they will be able to pass on this joy to the numerous visitors who are expected to attend this extraordinary event in Malta.
To complete this Maltese-Japanese cultural exchange, the 30 Maltese artworks will be presented in an exhibition in Tokyo, which will be held at the Metropolitan Theatre in Ikebukuro from the 14th to 17th September 2023.
